Alisha and I are each designing in our separate home studios. It’s hard to tell if we have more or less creative time during the sheltering at home orders. Alisha wears the extra responsibility of home schooling both her kids and I am solely responsible for polishing and fulfilling online orders.

Pictured below in wax are some of the designs that we have completed. Although we sculpt all of our originals and do the final finishing in our Santa Cruz studio, we are dependent on our California based foundry for the casting. The foundry is still closed but opening soon with a skeleton crew of their three family members. We expect that all of the following designs will be available by mid to late summer.

Alisha’s original green wax carving of her Crowned Tentacle Ammonite Pendant is pictured above. Undulating tentacles caress a polished slice of ammonite. The fluid tentacles are intricately detailed with countless suction cups. This innovative pendant will be cast in sterling silver and available by mid to late summer.
Bat Briolette – Jungle Jewel Collection
The Bat Briolette Charm above is new to our Jungle Jewel collection. The tiny hanging bat is cocooned within it’s folded wings. Marty’s original green wax carving is pictured and it will be soon available in both sterling silver and 14K gold. I will also offer pairs of these configured into earrings.
Octopus Ear Crest Cuff
This new and innovative Octopus Ear Crest Cuff glides into our cephalopod collection. The detailed octopus is designed to cuff the top cartilage of the ear but will fit the side cartilage equally well.

The striking Phantom Viper Head Pendant clutches a Matrix Mexican Opal within it’s fanged jaw. Wicked scales adorn the front side of the piece and when you turn it over, the skull is revealed. Both sides of Alisha’s original green wax carving are pictured here and it will be available in sterling silver with a variety of gemstone treasures making each one unique.

Marty’s original green wax carving of the Magic Carpet Cat Ring is pictured here. With this sheltering at home, I feel rather like this cat. I am fortunate to be well fed and surrounded by beautiful and familiar surroundings but I am craving escape from my gilded cage. What adventures await in the future? I am weaving my own magic carpet of escape as I write this.

The fluidity of the snake makes it a wonderful design motif and I have had great fun creating this double intertwined snake ring.
